Nike TV Advert Analysis 2 - Chris Waddington

This advert is made to be quite inspirational with the way it is filmed and the way the clips are shown. Throughout the advert you see a fit athlete bouncing a ball and giving a list of different excuses of why someone couldnt do something. "Stomach ache, sore feet, back pain, ect." The camera shot is a medium close up, and shows the top half of the athlete and he appears to be very physically fit. One of the final shots is a wide shot and you realise that the athlete giving the excuses is really in a wheelchair and is disabled from the  waste down. It is quite inspirational when you realise this as it relates to your personal life and the excuses you have given and you realise that they were no reason to stop trying. If someone can become a professional athelete with such a disability then there is nothing to stop you reaching your full potential.
The advert is quite simple and is filmed in one location, the main focus being the basketballer. At the end of the advert is uses the normal ending of most nike adverts and has the 'Just Do It.' logo as the basketballer moves away from the camera.
