Analysis of second advert - Natalie Southern

The story of this advert is about Roger Federer being really successful and unbeaten. He walks into a dark room and turns on the television to see that he’s on television and they are questioning how he remains unbeaten. He then hears someone in house, so he turns the television off, so it’s back to darkness and takes out his tennis racket from his bag and goes looking for the person in his house. Rhys Darby then jumps out from in the door and starts hitting tennis balls at him,  they then have a game of tennis throughout his house, Rhys gets hurt and Rodger doesn’t even look tired. So then Rhys gets out a tennis ball gun and starts firing multiple tennis balls at Rodger throughout his home and Rodger really isn’t fussed by them. Then Rhys gets hurt again and Rodger is left with a hole in his racket and his window from where a ball when straight through them both.
The point of this advert is that Rodger remains unbeaten and even when someone comes in his house and just randomly starts throwing balls at him, he’s still able to hit them back without feeling tired at all.
The colours used, again are dark, apart from when Rhys Darby comes in and the lights come on when he starts a tennis match in the house, the props used in the advert are mainly nike props, such as the tracksuit, and the trainers wore that clearly advertises the nike logo.
This product is aimed mostly at people that play sport such as tennis, this is because there’s 2 tennis players in the video that are advertising the fact that if you wear Nike’s products, then you’ll be good at tennis
The techniques used in this advertisement are celebrity endorsement, this is because if you see a looked up on celebrity in an advert, then you’re going to be persuaded to use them products because you think that you’ll end up like them. That’s the illusion that it gives upon people.
